Barbie Live at SM MOA Arena |
My daughter and I caught the Saturday, 3 PM show. When we arrived a few minutes before the show, I was not surprised to see that the audience consist of little giggly and excited girls wearing their tutu or Barbie-branded outfits. Along with them are their mommies yet there were some brave dads too.
Then, the lights dimmed, the stage curtains opened and Barbie and her crew came to life! There was a burst of color on stage, it almost hurt my eyes.

All in all, it was not a boring show especially if you know the Barbie movies being played during the show, which my daughter and I know very well. We sang along most of the songs.
After the show, we head over to the souvenir section on the ground floor which was swarmed by a huge crowd. And even though I know the merchandise would be quite pricey, we still squeezed ourselves in there just to see what's up.
There were Barbie wings, dolls, shirts, notebooks, water bottles and pillows. We settled for a round, pink and white pillow which cost me P450.00. It was the most reasonable buy so far. We asked about a hardbound notebook with Barbie emblazoned on the cover with plain paper inside, and it cost P400.00. Yikes!

Even though I liked the show, I do have to comment on the venue, the Arena. The sound system was not good. It was not surround sound and sometimes, the mic on the actors would go out so we missed some of the words and the songs.
But the place was organized. We didn't have a hard time looking for the entrance as well as our designated seats. There were lots of signs.
And the comfort rooms, they were clean.
All in all, I enjoyed the day. And the price of the tickets was so worth it. The joy and appreciation of my daughter after show was priceless.
Thanks for reading! Until my next blog!
