When I learned about the Mom and Me event last month, I know my daughter and I just have to attend. The event promised of activities where both moms (and dads) and kids would enjoy, together.
The event was for two days, Saturday and Sunday. My daughter and I went on Sunday and did not have a hard time looking for the venue. It's the tent across Starbucks and Cibo in Rockwell where the banner of Mom and Me was visible.

My Kiddo by the Walkway |
Food stalls lined the walkway going to the main entrance of the tent where the real action begins, but we didn't stop by any of them since we just ate when it was 12:30 noon when we arrived.
At the entrance, I presented the ticket I won from Mom&Me's Facebook contest :)

My Winning Ticket! |
In exchange for my ticket, I got the day's program schedule and the lists of free booth activities that we have access to, a raffle stub for the day's hourly raffle, and a bundle of freebies! No bag though and since I was not prepared I had to purchase one for P30.00. It's a white ecobag with Mom&Me printed in pink on one side.

Program Sched for Sunday |
So from 12:30 noon to 5:30 PM, here's what my daughter and I did.
- Watched the Kiddie Fashion Show by Tiddle Tots at 1 PM where girls of varying age strut their stuff wearing costumes inspired by Disney Princesses and female cartoon characters.
|
The Models and The Dress Maker |
- Had face painted in shimmering colors:

|
Tada! The Masterpiece and its Model |
- Gave Rebisco's Bibibons' Mascot a hug :)
|
Bibibon's Big Blue Bear |
- Had hair done for free by Vanity. From limp to curly in just minutes!
|
Keeping still for a change |
|
Curls Anyone??? |
- And while my daughter's hair was being styled, I had a chance to go around and found this bread spread from McCormick in tubes! There were three flavors to choose from: Herb & Parmesan, Garlic and Pesto. I took a bite of all three flavors and no competition, Pesto is the best, so I bought two at P75.00 each.

McCormicks' Bread Spread in Tubes! |
- Picked as winner in Mom&Me's hourly raffle and got me some GCs from Curves for free workout sessions, Red Stilettos for one hour photography session and P500.00 worth of products from Halo. I am just so lucky. Imagine getting picked as a raffle winner in an event which pass I won in a raffle too?!
|
So Lucky! I won these! |
- And listened to The Learning Library's teacher/storyteller giving an amazing reading in Tagalog of a story called "Chenelyn Chenelyn" to kids who are actively listening and participating.

Storytelling in Tagalog |
While there were still lots of activities to enjoy, we had to leave because it started to rain and we were hitching a ride with my sisters-in-law.
And even though there was not one activity that Reese and I did together, I was happy that we get to attend the event and Reese enjoyed being there.
At home, I ripped through the bundle of freebies and found these treasures for me, the Mom:

And some for the Reese too!

It was a tiring yet very fun day. I hope there would be more events like this again.
