The Day I've Met The Grimaldis

I love, love, love to read. I do it whenever I have the chance. It's one of my passions actually. So when a friend recommended a novel, I immediately put it on my Aldiko library (that's my ebook reader. very user-friendly.) along with my other must-reads.

The novel I am talking about is the "Kissing Another Grimaldi" by KZ Riman.
But before I go on telling you about the novel which I read in only a week (yep, it's that good and light), I want to tell you about the author first.

KZ Riman is a Pinay. Yep, you read it right. The author is a She and a Filipina. Mabuhay ang mga Pinay!!! She currently lives in the Philippines but I have yet to meet her.

So, to the story.

Warning: What you read next may spoil the fun of finding out the surprises yourself. But don't worry, I won't reveal too much. Wink.

"Kissing Another Grimaldi" is the first book of the Kissing the Bovaghnian Rogues Series. It tells the story of Kelsey Fontez, the beautiful, desirable and tenacious heroin, and of Scott Grimaldi, the handsome, rich, strong-willed yet mischievous man who is the twin brother of Kelsey's former boyfriend and almost-husband.

The story revolves around Scott's desire for Kelsey which began when they were still teenagers and when Kelsey was still dating Scott's twin brother, Seth. The desire never went away through the years they were apart and it grew stronger instead when Kelsey came back in his life six years after and even with a son in tow.

"Kissing Another Grimaldi" is a romance novel yet it has steamy scenes which reminds me of the works of Sylvia Day and EL James.

The books I've read so far of all three authors has almost the same plot: guy and girl has electrifying sexual desire for each other, they try to fight the desire in the beginning but end up losing the battle and makes crazy and hot sex after, and lastly, the guy is ridiculously rich. So rich that they could move heaven and earth just to get the girl.

But the similarities end there because KZ Riman's novel is set in a country unlike no other. It is set in Khazkathia. It is a make believe country, like the other make believe places in the story. It's actually the first time I've read a non-Harry Potter novel that is set in a place that does not exist, but I did not have a hard time imagining the scenes because KZ Riman made it easy for me to picture them.

Now I can't wait for the other installments of the series. Give them now, KZ Riman!!! I'll be waiting.

Thanks for reading. Until my next blog.
