Blogapalooza 2013... I was THERE!!!

As a newbie blogger, to be invited to Blogapalooza 2013 is a huge deal. The day I saw my blog name on the list of attendees, I literally jumped up and down from joy (promise, no echos). The days leading to D day which was 16 November 2013 at SM Aura Convention Center by the way, I kept checking Blogapalooza's site to see if my blog name is still there.

And yes, it's still there until the day, I have a blogger's pass to prove it!

One of the things I was really looking forward to was seeing Mikey Bustos in person. He is among the ribbon-cutting people. Unfortunately the ribbon cutting was done at 11:00 AM and I was still at work then. I missed him, completely! sniff.

But, all is not lost. I got to the event at 1:30 PM and heard Derf Hebrado do his comedy thing as he is a stand-up comedian and Philip Abadicio of the Philip the Lifestyle Guy whose show I first heard of at a radio show.

I also heard Jason Cruz of MRM Worldwide Manila's talk;

Ana Santos of Writer's Block Philippines who gave a talk about how to earn from writing. Yey!

Karen Bordador, a DJ, Model, Host, Actress and a hottie, like me! LOL!
And... the boys of The Boys Night Out!!! Three cheers to Toni Tony, Slick Rick and Sam YG. I even got a photo with them after their talk. I stalked them on my way to the restroom. Ha Ha!

Anyway, they talked about their new podcast show with Ramon Bautista who, sad to say, was not present at the event.
But aside from the tips and advices on blogging, there were presentations from various business partners like:

The Mind Museum which showed a little science trick of trying to burn a P500 bill... but failed. Whew! I wanna know why the bill didn't burn after the scientists soaked the bill in alcohol, which I'd probably learn if I visit them at the museum in The Fort.

Chef's Noodles which was introduced as a fast-casual Korean restaurant, made their bestseller, Starking Fire Sushi, on the spot. Watch out for the torch!
When at last, my butt can't take any more sitting downs, I wandered around the booths, made chika to the sponsors, and got freebies too! Yey! Here's some of them.
Hungry Juan
Enjoy Privilege Card
Gurkka.com
While all of these was happening, there were hourly giveaways via twitter. All we need to do was to tweet #Blogapalooza and the lucky winners take home prizes like a whole roasted chicken from Chooks To Go! And there was free Wifi, thanks to PLDT :)

Oh, before I forgot, this event raised P80K in cash for the typhoon Yolanda victims! Woohoo! So proud to be a part of the generous crowd who made this possible and this was via the Piggy Bank Movement. The people behind this movement roamed the floors with piggy bank in tow and they raised so much! Yey!

So, after all I've heard, learned, seen and took home, Blogapalooza is definitely an event to be at year after year after year. Definitely want to be a part of this again.

Thanks for reading! Until my next blog!
