Barbie Movie Date with my Little Girl

While looking for the screening time of Iron Man 3 (for the movie date with my Hubby), I came across SM Cinemas' promo of Buy 1 Take 1 on the Barbie in the Pink Shoes movie. This promo is open to all E-Plus Cardholders where for only P100.00, I already get two movie tickets.

Unfortunately, I was not yet a member when I learned of this so what do an excited mother do? Get myself registered to avail of the promo!!!

So here are the steps to become an SM E-Plus Card member:
1. You can register at any SM Cinemas or online.
2. If you register online, fill-up the enrollment form (link found below) and submit http://smcinema.com/smcinema/uploads/image/e-plus/e-plus%20form.pdf
3. If your enrollment is successful, you'd get an application number. Take note of this number as you will have to provide this when you claim your card at any SM Cinemas.
4. Prepare P300.00 for the starter kit which you have to pay to claim your card. The starter kit already includes one free movie of your choice which you can claim anytime, one small popcorn (butter flavor only), one small soda, and a premium item (I got a big water tumbler).

If you plan to claim your card at SM MOA like I did, there's a booth near the Digital Theatre 3. Claiming the card is a breeze, it was done in a matter of minutes. However, I learned that if I want to avail of the Buy 1 Take 1 promo, I have to use my E-Card load to purchase the tickets. Since my card has no load yet, I had no choice but to load up, and the only denominations available are P500 and P1000.

Now back to the movie. We went for the 3:30 PM screening time on a Saturday, May 4, and when we got in the cinema, there were only a handful of patrons. Most of them are mom and daughter tandem but there were a couple of brave dads as well, just like my Hubby.

The movie went for an hour and a half and so far, the kids loved it. In fact, after the movie, most of the little girls were twirling about, mimicking the ballerinas in the movie. For me, I thought it was okay even though the film was only in DVD. But at P50.00 per head, what do I have to complain? The most important thing is my daughter had a great time, even my Hubby liked it.
